Warm air, water on the floor, ice! Why is there ice when the AC doesn’t work?! AC systems can fail in the most counter intuitive ways.
Our team is ready when you need us most to diagnose and fix your system when there’s an issue. You can count on us to give you an honest assessment. If it’s something we can fix immediately, we’ll do that. If it’s more involved, we’ll expedite the process. We understand how uncomfortable life can be without AC.
Air Conditioning systems are like most mechanical items. If you are on top of your maintenance and paying attention, you can usually nip big problems in the bud. If you haven’t had service for a while, an annual service is highly recommended.
Here are a few things to look out for when the AC stops working.
Go outside. Can you hear the motor (compressor) running? It’s usually that loud humming sound. Look at the fan on top of the unit. Is it spinning? If either of those two things are not happening, it’s best to turn the AC off at the thermostat. You likely have a bad capacitor and you don’t want to run your system without those two things working at the same time.
If it is running, do you see any ice forming on the copper lines that go into the unit?
Inside: Do you see water coming from the coil or on the floor? Do you see ice on the copper lines going to the unit. These are generally signs of low refrigerant.
Is the indoor fan blowing? Do you feel any air coming from the vents? Another common problem is when the indoor blower motor fails.
The main thing is, don’t fret. We have a very reasonable diagnostic fee for new customers. Service plan customers get free diagnostic services for any problem they are experiencing and 20% off the repair.
Once we complete our diagnosis, we can offer you a blueprint for getting the system back up and running.
You’ll find that unlike a lot of the big companies that charge outrageous sums for small repairs, we are reasonable and fair. Yes, we need to make money to stay in business but we don’t need to charge you $600 for a $10 part that takes 20 minutes to install. Our business model takes more than a few hands out of the cookie jar.
And if you are worried about the cost, we have you covered. If you aren’t on our plan, you can sign up with our tech at the time of the repair and receive 20% off the repair we’re there for and 20% off all services moving forward. We also offer financing for repairs if it’s not in your budget for today but you need to get the AC back up and running.
Overall, you’ll find us to be fair, honest and knowledgeable. We will not push unnecessary services or move you towards replacement unless it’s necessary or if it’s something you want to consider.
